HAKUBA 47 WINTER SPORTS PARK
Probably Hakuba's most popular resort for
Snowboarders. Being linked to Hakuba Goryu, and with lift passes
valid at both, the area is one of the largest in Hakuba. The
resort was purchased by US private equity leader Pincus Warburg
in 2007, and there are plans for a major resort development at
the base including a shopping mall, hotel, and condominium
complex.
Facing north, the resort doesn't have the sun exposure of other
Hakuba resorts, and generally it is the only resort you can ski
top to bottom into May.
There is something for every once here, with one of the best
parks in Hakuba. Best beginners slopes are up top, and it may be
easier to access them from Goryu as the Goryu Gondola runs
directly up to the top. There is a cat track for beginners
leading all the way to the base.
Stay out of the trees as the patrol seizes lift passes from
offenders. For those after season tickets, get in as early as
possible as there are big early bird discounts. |
